I have been depressed all day good sw wind,morning low water at the Ray/Southend(the first for ages) and we had hundreds of kids and I could'nt get the day off:(
and someone did 37 kts there today !!!!
I made it to the beach at 5 just as most were packing up sails as small as 3.7 !!! Steve C was struggling ashore with 5.2,his second sail of the afternoon !!! Pete C had just arrived,he rigged 6.5 and I chose 7.5.I had on blistering run where I got my fastest time and the the wind just got lighter and lighter !!!! but I did manage to get back to where I started no thanks to the strong tide and lack of wind !!! Some went to Levington and it will be interesting to see how they got on.Off to Southampton for the weekend for Rob's graduation :) might be able to have a blast in the Solent,Poole Harbour or even Weymouth !!! fingers crossed for some wind.
